Abstract: This study explores strategies for promoting resilience among vocational students in Nigeria, focusing on psychological, social, and educational support mechanisms designed to enhance student coping skills, perseverance, and mental well-being in vocational education settings. Resilience plays a critical role in mitigating academic stress, overcoming setbacks, and fostering persistence towards achieving educational and career goals in technical fields. The research aims to (1) identify factors influencing resilience among vocational students, (2) assess existing resilience-building programs and interventions in vocational schools, and (3) propose recommendations for implementing effective strategies to cultivate resilience and support student success in vocational education. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from vocational students, counselors, and resilience program coordinators familiar with resilience promotion initiatives. A sample size of 400 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent vocational students, resilience counselors, and educational administrators in Kaduna State. Case studies will examine successful resilience programs and their outcomes in enhancing student well-being, academic performance, and retention rates. Findings indicated resilience-promoting factors such as social support networks, mentorship programs, and coping skills training, identified challenges including stigma associated with mental health issues and resource limitations, and highlighted the role of holistic support systems, proactive mental health education, and community partnerships in fostering student resilience. Recommendations include integrating resilience education into vocational curricula, expanding mental health resources, and fostering a supportive campus environment to empower vocational students with the skills and resources needed to thrive amidst challenges and achieve their educational and career aspirations.
